The Chariton Collector was produced and published by students in the local history class at the Kirksville Senior High School from 1980 to 1989. It focused on Kirksville and northeast Missouri history and folklore. A limited number of the unpublished interviews by the high school students are housed in Pickler Memorial Library Special Collections & Museums at Truman State University. Issue 18 has a cumulative index of all the articles and in which issue they appeared.
