Experiences from the Great War is comprised of the E. M. Violette Collection of World War I Soldiers' Letters and World War One Posters. E. M. Violette collected nearly 500 WWI posters and 200 letters over the course of the war. These collections have been preserved, curated and are accessible in the Special Collections Department of Pickler Memorial Library. These letters and posters display some interesting edits and annotations. Some of the letters bear the stamp or signature of the military censors, while some of the recruitment posters have been modified with the address of a local recruiting station.
